Yonge St, Thornhill

The Yonge St Project was completed for a client who wanted to decorate the one bedroom condo in a stylish and cost-effective manner. Our primary focus was to breathe life into the space by adding bright colours and playful accents. To maintain a sense of balance and neutrality in the overall design, we opted for a calming blue-grey tone in the entrance. This created a welcoming and inviting atmosphere and set the tone for the rest of the space. Our team carefully curated each element of the design to ensure that it not only looked aesthetically pleasing but also met our client's budget requirements.

With limited space in mind, we carefully selected functional furniture that could also double as room and space separators, maximizing every inch of the one bedroom condo. The dining table, for instance, was placed opposite the kitchen to create a seamless flow of space. In addition, we replaced the existing light fixtures with more modern alternatives, which instantly added a touch of sophistication and warmth to the room.

For the living room, we opted for a vibrant yellow couch that beautifully complemented the dark blue walls. These two colours are considered complementary colours on Newton's colour circle, creating a striking yet balanced contrast that truly brought the space to life. With every design choice we made, we were intentional in our approach, ensuring that each element not only looked visually appealing, but also served a functional purpose for our client.

For the bedroom, our focus was to create a serene and peaceful oasis for the new homeowner to unwind and relax. To achieve this, we kept the colour palette simple and clean, using predominantly calming white tones throughout the space. To add a touch of richness, we incorporated deep maroon curtains as an accent. To bring a bit of nature indoors and add some life to the space, we incorporated some greenery in the form of plants and artwork.
